Vegetarian Recipes


1 block (19 ounce) firm tofu
2 tbs sherry vinegar
2 tbs Worcestersgire sauce
Few dashes hot pepper sauce to your liking
Olive oil to cover skillet
2 egg whites
1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Slice block of tofu inot 4 equal portions. Place slices on paper towes, fold over tofu to cover. Place baking sheet on top of tofu, weigh it down with 28 ounce can of anything for one hour.

Combine Sherry vinigar, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sace, place the tofu into the marinade. Marinate for 15 minutes on each side.

Place the flour into a shallow dish and eggs into another. Lightly beat eggs.

Heat oil in skillet over medium heat.

Remove tofu from marinade and drain on paper towels to remove excess marinade.

Lightly dredge the tofu in the flour, knock off all excess flour and place into eggs until coated on each side.

Gently place tofu into skillet and cook for 2 minutes on each side, should be golden brown.

Cook time: 5 minutes
