MENUDO Cook-Off Street Fair

The 2000 census figures 71% Latinos residents for the zip code 90057. The event is located 3 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.

Traditional Mexican aromatic soup made of beef tripe, hominy and chili, and is stewed for hours with garlic and other spices; this hearty soup is enjoyed at lunch, supper, and even breakfast. It stimulates the senses, arms the insides, and clears the head. Is served in big open bowls brought to the table steaming and fiery. It is usually eaten after a night out and widely proclaimed to cure hangovers.

More than 30,000 Hispanic plus 5,000 from other ethnic groups adding a little spice to their life will attend this free annual festival and enjoy different type of foods and taste a bowl of Hot & Spicy Menudo or buy a canned Menudo, free health screenings, free gifts, Carnival Rides Games and a variety of products, services and information provided by all type of exhibitors.
