The 2000 census figures 69% Latinos residents for the zip code 90031 in the Los Angeles area.

The City of Lincoln Heights is located 3 miles north of downtown Los Angeles and is surrounded by the cities of Boyle Heights, El Sereno, Cypress Park and City Terrace.

Lincoln Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Los Angeles and is home to an increasingly large Hispanic poor-to-working class immigrant population. North Broadway is the busy commercial strip and central focal point of the area. The Golden State Freeway, split the city right down the middle.

More than 15,000 Hispanics usually attend this free annual Street Fair and enjoy different type of foods, free health screenings, free gifts, Carnival Rides Games, Live musical groups and a variety of products, services and information provided by all type of exhibitors.
