Something new is happening in Westport’s cultural scene. The longstanding Westport Young Woman’s League Creative Arts Festival has been renamed CraftWestport to reflect a new vision for the event which is now being coordinated by Artrider Productions, an art show management team, known for creating several of the finest contemporary craft and art shows in America.
No longer a local “arts and crafts fair” CraftWestport is a “fine craft show” featuring 150 of the nations’ leading contemporary craft artists some of whose works can be found in museum collections. In addition, artisans from across the country will be selling a diverse selection of works in all styles and prices. There will be something for everyone from the discerning art collector to the holiday gift shopper.
CraftWestport will feature 150 American craftspeople who will present their one-of-a kind and limited edition creations, available for purchase from the artists themselves. The festival offers handcrafted items including: stunning ceramics, intricate works in wood, innovative paper and metal objects, wearable art, luxurious leather, exquisite glass, spectacular jewelry and more.
CraftWestport is sponsored by the Westport Young Woman's League, a non profit organization dedicated to helping those in need in our community and beyond while providing its members an opportunity for camaraderie and personal growth through its many educational and fun special interest activities.
